So I didn't think I was attending any shows this season, but I was kindly sent a couple of tickets by some very generous PRs. I'm not gonna lie, when I saw the rain on Saturday afternoon and found out my tube line wasn't running I considering bailing, but instead I braved the 19 bus in the downpour and made it to Vauxhall Fashion Scout for Spijkers en Spijkers relatively dry.
I was intrigued by the title of the show "The Birds of Paradise" and the reference seemed evident in the collection which included ostrich feather coats, bird feather collars and trims on shoes and embroidered birds on silk shirts. However I was interested to learn that the term is also a Dutch expression which refers to eccentric and colourful people. In particular twin sisters Truus and Riet Spijkers, were inspired by Edith Bouvier Beale, a New York socialite and first cousin of Jackie O well known for her eclectic style.
Kate Nash was sitting across the way from me for the whole show and it took me most of the show to realise who she was with her new black and blonde hair. She looked amazing!

Afterwards I tried my luck at Antipodium, knowing it would be hugely popular and my standing ticket probably wouldn't be worth the paper it was printed on. Sadly they were full to capacity before even all the seated tickets got in from what I could see, but I died and went to fashion heaven anyway as I got to see Kate Lanphear in the flesh!
Today I ran errands which including popping into Topshop which is a post in itself because it took a lot of restraint not to spend any money. In a rare moment I decided to take a photo of my outfit with an actual camera, mostly so I could post my gold high tops which I love more than life and definitely should wear more.
