I got up early on Saturday to start The Big Room Clearout which happens about once year, the idea being you go through every drawer, cupboard, shelf etc and take everything out/off and only put back the things you really need. The result? Well a feng shui expert would probably say something about zen living but I say change is as good as rest. Plus it's nice to be able to see everything I own rather than spending 10 minutes searching for something, only to find it at the bottom of an unidentfiable pile or stuffed in a drawer full of other objects of no relation. 4 hours later my room was decidedly more er, zen and I hadn't even started on the clothes. I did however find some better ways of storing my mountains (and I mean mountains) of jewellery.

I've never been a gold person, all my 'real' jewellery is silver or white gold, so I knew the day would come where I would get over my temporary infatuation with gold jewellery. Two of my new favourites
